The Hindenberg Helldiver is made entirely of ceramic. Therefore, the watch has a weight of only 161 grams despite a size of 42 millimetres in diameter and a self-winding calibre inside. The watch displays the date, day and month and in addition to the normal time display also has a 24-hour display and a date window.
Technical details Helldiver
The classic date is found under the dial by means of a rotating disk. This is driven by the movement and moves one place forward at midnight, so that the current date is always visible in the cut-out in the dial.
Screws, and often other steel parts of watches, are blued using controlled oxidation. The refining process achieved by the brief heating not only results in the blue colour of the screws and is considered as being a high-quality and decorative element, but is also an expression of tradition.
Ceramic is heat-resistant, highly durable and stays attractive for a long time. The perfect material for sporty, modern watches.
